A laud and clear wake-up call for all of us!

Here below you can watch the “Confessing Christ” event that took place in St Mark’s Lutheran Church Underdale on Saturday 25th. For your convenience, find below the basic time stamps for all four sessions. If your time is limited, I would advise to watch the second presentation: 

1:49:20 – 3:15:30 with Bishop Dr Juhana Pohjola. It tells the sad and alarming story. In words of Bishop Juhana Pohjola: “We don’t need to guess what kind of impact women’s ordination will have on church life, but instead we have more than 30 years of lived experience.”

Please, feel free and even obliged to share this as widely as you can. I keep finding that many of our faithful fellow saints in the LCA congregations have little or no idea of what really is happening and where we are heading.

00:16:00 – 1:30:00 – the first session where Dr John Stephenson from Lutheran Church of Canada speaks about Biblical metaphors for the Church, secular ideologies surrounding the promotion of the ordination of both men and women and on the consequences for those churches which depart from Biblical teaching about the office of public ministry. Including Q&A. 

1:49:20 – 3:15:30 – the second session where Bishop Dr Juhana Pohjola from Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland shares his eyewitness testimony on what happened in the Lutheran Church of Finland when the ordination of both men and women was introduced. How 5 promises were broken and how devastating it was for their church. Including Q & A. 

Probably this one (above) is the most important session for us all to hear and reflect on. No more excuses for us that we didn’t know what to expect. If you don’t have time to listen to all the sessions, please, listen to this one! 

4:19:40 – 5:26:30 – the third session where Bishop Dr Juhana Pohjela shares insider’s view on the landmark court case which has drawn the attention of the entire Christendom where Bishop Pohjola and MP Paivi Rasanen were accused of hate speak as they simply confessed Biblical teaching on marriage and sexuality, and how the Lord Jesus Christ has used this case to advance His purposes. Including Q&A.  

5:53:00 – 7:21:00 – the fourth session where Dr John Stephenson gently walks us through the Biblical theology of Christian fellowships and what it may mean in our situation. Including Q&A.
